that timelapse was super cool! … it's taken me 3 days watch get to that point in the video… finally the weekend and some time… I hope y'all are doing well… I plan to go with seawind… however our timeline isn't for quite awhile before we have early retirement. I can't wait to see the tough sailing later in the video… those kinds of things really speaks to me because I'm eyeing a different (smaller) seawind cat and although our initial years will be coastal and Caribbean we want to circumnavigate… it's important to see details on a boat and a company that can push blue water… I want to be able to go to iceland, and down south where y'all were, maybe even cape horn. really push those latitudes… no ty on the south ocean and the arctic however lol.

There is a trick that is used when the wind exceeds the range of a sail, and that is to partially cover it with another smaller sail. If you put the jib on at the same time as the screecher, the jib will take a good part of the pressure off the screecher, and you will also increase the total surface area of your sails, increasing speed without risking damage to the screecher.
