Lord knows cruising isn't cheap, but this is definitely a helpful tool for people to consider all of the various factors. Now I'd argue that with the current rate of inflation that people buying higher quality boats like the Outremer might be protected a little better from depreciation, as a new boat 5 years from now is going to prop up the price of used models so it's possible the value stays close to the same. Not to get too complicated, but if you wanted to get technical there is also the cost of capital to consider, having $1.7M tied up in a depreciating asset vs. earning 5% in 10-year treasury bond is a consideration.

But…there also isn't a cost to quantify the value you get by living the amazing lifestyle and all those memories you make and friends you meet. LOL, this is pretty much the only way to justify the cost : )
