I highly suggest painting the windlass motor with epoxy paint. I have the same windlass and after 2 years my motor is very rusty.

Gotta love these old boats. They built them like a tank! Really like the new bimini and colors. With all these upgrades saoirse is like a new boat and you'll be cruising in luxury.

When I first layed eyes on it I was not sure but seeing it in place it looks ………….Fantastic ! Maybe with what you have left over you could make side curtains ! Isn't it nice to know your forward deck is built tough and thick ? I wonder if that material would make a great sail ?
