Cat vs Monohull the big discussion. Not heeling and quite some space in the moving house vs real sailing feeling and better upwind performance. Lower draft to enter into shallow bays. So many things to consider. Both have pros and cons.
There are also performance cats which have dagger boards like the Mumby with an aluminium hull or others. But this comes on a cost of course. As others have advised, go for a real life test prior to changing your boat.

oh you like all the big apt. attached to a pontoon boat with a stick, goes faster than your boat but can not point and when its knocked down there is no righting itself. I think a pontoon boat with a stick is ok for day sailing. your choice

How fun was that! We bareboat chartered a catamaran years ago in the BVIs…love all the room, especially when you have a group aboard. Thanks for including our picture with you at the Highfield’s booth. Such a great chat…loved getting to know you in person.

You might want to hold off on your catamaran decision until we get the details of the Boat Show Cat that had the two hull breaches after she left the show. According to the Chesapeake Bay news the escape windows failed in both hulls about 140 miles offshore in 30 knots.
