i would want to install a pump between the tanks. You can then use water as ballast on the windward side and simply transfer water as needed.
Glad to hear Terry gave your boat a full thumbs up! It would have been quite difficult if he uncovered serious flaws. But you are are building the boat with such care and high standards it was not surprising Terry approved what you have done. Did the Annapolis Show draw good crowds this year? Is your boat going to be laid out and equipped much differently than the one in the show?
did that cat have the hybrid system you are planning for your cat? also, I was wondering if they have made the conversion kit. do you need more mask filters?
It is always nice when the experts approve of how you are doing things. Not to mention the time to pick their brain about your future plans for the build.

Does anyone else think that stagnant water in a hose between two tanks might not be a good idea?
Matt: the way you have the pumping for the two tanks, it will only stabilize the tanks to equal levels. If you want put more water in tank versus the other, you need a transfer pump and additional through hull fitting at top and valves. It would also be nice so you could recirculate one tank and install a filter system to scrub one tank at a time or if one tank gets a leak you can transfer it.

Just curious why wouldn’t you jeliminate the cost of the valves and just allow the tanks to equalize 24/7?
Hey guys, good job on the inspection. We walked by the max at the Annapolis show, it looked like the port sugar scoop/transom was below water. Not in a good way. What was going on with that?
So you have water tanks where you can't reach the bottom, isn't that going to be a problem when it comes to cleaning and any other maintenance?

Water tank balancing…..Turn the one valve upside down so that both handles open towards the aft wall. Then your protection wall could be build closer and waste less space.
First time you have both been at the show where I did not run into you somewhere. Now I know why. Hope you are both feeling better (you both sound a little stuffed up). Windsurfer looked like a great value next to its neighbors at the show. Are you considering that white Seadek (?) foam on your decks too?
