You mentioned the smell in Malaysia. Before I was retired, I led global IT for a major firm and I had staff in Thailand. As I traveled there frequently, I got used to the smell of the more populated areas of Thailand. I can recall it to this day. For me, the smell was the mix of humidity, mold, auto/scooter/tuk-tuk and other pollution, sewage from open-air sewers, charcoal from all of the street vendors' food, the various floral and plant smells, and the mix of animals that surround you. I miss it. May you continue to love your travels and POST MORE FREQUENTLY.
