So sorry ladies that you didn’t get to sail around Ireland this year. But let’s face it. ‘Was a pretty poor sailing season this year for many people around the British Isles. You did the right thing turning around. There is always another opportunity another year. I enjoy the channel and seeing your adventures. Fair winds and safe journeys.

Cliffs of Mohr are absolutely fantastic. Sailed by them when I was doing my Day Skipper. That and Arron Islands as well as Connemara which is so remote.,(excuse spelling). Gwen did a painting of the cliffs from a piccie.

Its been the worst Summer in Ireland for years. I sail a Tradewind 33 and was not able to go for a sail for nearly 7 weeks in July.

You ladies really shouldn't be out in anything more than a F3. As you mentioned a while ago, now would be an ideal opportunity to winter up and get yourselves on an RYA YachtMaster course, especially if you intend to do the West coast which will be a huge challenge for you. Theory over the Winter, Practical in the Spring and you'll look, sound and also be much safer for yourselves and those around you next Summer. Good Luck.

For nighttime anchoring/mooring I fitted an off road light bar to the pulpit. It comes on when both the nav lights are on and the anchor windlass breaker is on. It's been on there a couple of years now and I haven't yet had to use it 🙂
