Strange encounter indeed. Could be a drug smuggling operation. That boat was searching for the right boat to do a drug exchange with. It mistook your boat for their intended rendezvous boat. When they found out that you weren't the correct boat, they left. Well, that's my theory.

Eleven stars! On a five star rating system. 🙂 This is so awesome virtually accompanying you guys. Thanks heaps. We watch lots of sailing channels and this is the most realistic experience we’ve ever had. Thanks so much. So sorry you went through that. Bad guys or at the very least ignorant a-holes. Glad it went ok, you’ve probably done it or know it but maybe worth having IR gear on hand and a air horn. Also makes you wonder if two (or four) led spotlights on spreaders aimed at perimeter water (instead of straight down) would be a good thing. Sorry you had the fright…. better things ahead. Thanks heaps.

It was easy to relate to the advice you received about hiring a captain for a week or two. However, unless i missed it, there's been nothing about Captain's instructions during the day 1 or day 2 videos. Captain's instructions could very well be beneficial to many subscribers. Perhaps the Captain doesn't want to part with his advice for free.
