What caused it was the shroud on the starboard side came out of the spreader arm releasing tension on the starboard side and tension transferred to the port side causing it to collapse to the port side of the boat and into the water.

" Batonned Pyramidic " Sail system for Ocean crossing vessels in case of a disaster exactly like these folks had.
All you need to attach the system is a Toe-Rail or Stanchion bases.
It allows you to sail all but upwind. ( obviously)
To date we've achieved 4knots in a 41' Morgan out island mastless , in 18-20 knot winds and 2-3ft seas…
Although a ways from perfected , we hope summer of 2024' to have a few dozen kits ready to sell.
The storage bag is 32" long and 18"x18" rounded
Hope we can test it to be 99% reliable in all weather conditions for all scenarios.
