But I do have an honest question to ask…

Does having a captain, in fact two in back to back are forcing you to a schedule and a route less than ideal which in normal circumstances you won't take?

There are pro and cons with everything, is this a real con?

Open the genoa! If there are more than five knots of wind, I always put the genoa on to help the gennaker, it is worth the increase in speed, and it doesn't bother me at all.
