Outboard boxes….diagonals are good to create stiffness in a system. If you can somehow work some diagonal braces into the design it will help. Chin up mate, you are soldiering on when many would jack it in
You will definately need thimbles on the cables, to install them into the eyebolts simply twist them open sideways between two sets of pliers, pop them in and twist back together. Just keep chipping away, big rocks into little rocks, you'll get there eventually 👍👍
Your mistakes are the reason i watch, that makes it relatable. If it all went like a dream and you where a trained professional, it would go over my head. If you succeed my daydream feels better. Because you validated it by showing the world you can do it and learn enough on the way to make it a reality, you're emotions are part of it.
I think most if not all of us are here to watch as you bodge or repair as we probably would.
Your doing a great job mate,,, dont stree the time frame !
No problem mate just keep doing what you can love watching your videos cheers
God bless and God speed, keep on keeping on!
Don't worry Mark. We are all here with you for every episode, cheering you on! You are my hero!
Maybe the ring eyes could be on the inner side of the box section rather than the outer??? 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Set your self an unrealistic target?? Not a good idea 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍
Hi Mark
Love your channel iv been following from the beginning👌
One thing I do know about fuel especially E10 and above is ethanol (10%) is hydroscopic any water in the fuel will absorb the ethanol so when you remove the water you will also remove some of the ethanol! Thus reducing the octane of your fuel making your engine harder to start and also may cause it to run badly! Just saying!
Keep up the good work👍👍👍
Winter on a cat with narrow hulls is ok,but, bit of a torture test…You know, a Pod built on deck for wind protection ,with a bunk so you can sleep or nap at sea and poke your head up would be warmer and more comfortable for you and crew, also make a better brighter winter hangout with a Dickinson fireplace heater or whatever the vertical heaters are called, oil or propane, = cosy
Like im sure everyone is saying dont rush yourself, do the work that needs to be done were all enjoying seeing the re-fit. Plus i think its fine during the winter months to release shorter videos so slightly less footage needed. Thanks again for letting us follow along.

Aye m8! I totally agree on the weather. Same here. Hopefully it will be better in the end of the week so I can continue my work. Being alone really sucks 🛠️ but we’ll make it 💪🏽
You didn't waste time or money on the way the engine's were mounted, you spent time and money on a good education, knowledge isn't cheep fast or free, but once you know you'll never forget.
Don't stress about getting sailing. More important to get it right. You're making lots of progress which your viewers can all see. You'll be sailing in 2024, whats a couple of months.
Use shock absorbers on engines and a crank pulley to pull up
Mark, only people who do nothing don`t make mistakes!
Keep going with your pace, it`s your boat and you define the goals.
The engine housing looks nice but I guess it will stay wobbely if it is only mounted at 2 points.
I have no clue what you plan to do but I would try to go with four mounting points.
How can I describe?
A second square above the white housing which is mounted on the opposite side of your beam and above the top of the engine mounting plate.
Cheers
Marc
Though that was painful to watch…march on… goodonyas!
Fabulous shot of you walking like a gangster while transporting the engine hahaha
Well begun is half done. Steady on champ 😊
Keep the spirit up, you are doing GREAT!!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Hi Mark, can I suggest that you consider having a frame work welded to create the strength between the two motor sleds. My feeling is that bolting more steel work will look scrappy and not provide the rigidity that you need. Great job on the project!
Doing good keep up the hard work
I would put a tube from the front pivot point to the next crossbeam forward, removing the pressure on the vertical tube mounts and the twisting of the crossbeam they're attached to. ⛵
Hey Mark, when you were carrying that 9.9, for some reason you reminded me of Jay from Clerks (Jay and Silent Bob) for some reason. You're doing good, just keep it moving, some weeks will feel like nothing is moving, but we can see your progress. Keep up heart Mark.
