Beautiful yacht but in my honest opinion a blue water cruiser that crosses oceans shouldn’t have unprotected twin rudders. That’s just a disaster waiting to happen. To me a blue water cruiser the rudder is skeg hung inline with the keel. Get the blue water 56 or an older Amel. Want something bigger try and get your hands on a Hallberg Ramsey 64.

I do think that having heads at the prow is a much better use of space than a claustrophobic V-berth.

Pretty much an abomination. A monohull trying to be a catamaran. Surely will not end well… Just my two cents.

Very roomy and well designed boat. Looks like a cross between the old Moody and the new DS Moody boats designed by Dixon. Part of the extra room seems to come from sacrificing berths. For example, Oyster 595 and 565 have a cabin with bunk beds as well as a pilot birth in a work area with space for spares and/or washer. Hylas only has that third small cabin. didn't see space for spares or washer. I also wonder if they sacrificed engine room space. Having more berths is not necessarily crucial for circumnavigation but spares, washer and easy access and spacious engine room are, IMHO. As far as comparisons go, i would probably go for the discovery 55 saxon blue, available through Berthon, for less than $700K.

Let’s get the Halas 57 flag ship against the Amel 60 and Oyster 595, you can through in the Garcia Exploration 60 if you like. The world will be surprised at the top of the line comparison.
Not a knock against Jean/Bene/Duf but they are different beasts in two major categories.
1.Hull and deck layup.
W.Standing running rigging and sail control hardware.

This is not critical just to see the actual value in the Hylas, as you point out $1m less than Oyster
