If that's a Tohatsu motor, try draining the fuel and filling with fresh fuel. I've got two and both sensitive to old fuel.

Seeing all that garbage makes me feel disappointed and sad and angry. I also, would want to get away from such a place and people as quickly as possible. The outboard has probably been repaired by now, but if not then Gerard may want to consider replacing all metal-to-metal gaskets.
