Thank God and Rob and the boys that Finn is alive and well, how traumatic for all of you. However a timely reminder that research, education and knowledge save lives, thankfully Declan remembered a clip he recently saw in a film.

Declan, you say you blame yourself for egging Finn on, DON'T! it's what young people do, instead, be proud that your knowledge was instrumental in saving Finns life.

Robs quick recognition that there was a problem was also key as was Ivan's youthful strength in getting Finn quickly to the surface and allowing Declan to lay his lips on him (paraphrasing Finn).

Rachel, understandable blind panic left you with a clear view of what needed to be done, as they say teamwork makes the dreamwork.

Finn, you area strong willed young man, it is possible that had your medical concerns at the worlds been listened to you may never have been in this position. I hope that this does not affect you career, Live your life to the best young man you are indeed fortunate. Love to you all.

I put off watching this after the last tease… I will say after it became clear he made it past the initial assault I was wondering/worrying about the secondary drowning. You all are living and learning. Thousands of folks learned something from this video or at least have had the opportunity to. I am so glad none of you are dealing with survivors guilt. I cried durning this video as it tapped into a long line of drownings and even secondary drownings that I have worked as a paramedic where the news delivered to the family has been devastating. Good luck to all of you with this recovery. Paramedics are needed all over the world. Actions taken here could naturally lead to one of you getting on that path. Be kind and gentle with one another as you all fully digest the near death experience of Finn! Much love to each of you with a little extra for mom!

Prior to this I thought the biggest risk was walking in bare feet! I admire that you have shared this, taken soul-searching responsibility and learned from it. Some of the comments (no need to mention names) could have been delivered far more constructively. I have to admit watching this and sailing Zatara I see risks that 95% of us in western countries might feel uncomfortable about. However, most people are too afraid to leave the comfort of their jobs and homes to venture out as you have done. Risk comes with great rewards but of course all risks need to be managed. I really hope you can move on from this and that Finn recovers fully.

I wept as I watched this. Thankful for your fast thinking/acting dad/sons team. And yes, I always knew the EMC had a significant purpose in life, and this may well have been it, genuinely a hero.
