How fantastic that Walace Isl. is available to you as a a short get away spot. I was there about 5 years ago on a trip to the gulf islands out of Bellingham. Princess cove was the highlight of the trip!!

Please allow me to compliment you on maintaining your beautiful sailboat in excellent condition. As you know, taking care of all that brightwork is a labor of love but it's obvious you truly love her and enjoy taking care of the details that make her the magnificient vessel she is. It's also refreshing to see how clean Northern Dancer is…..another reason to congratulate you on being so dutiful in maintaing her cleanliness. So many YouTube sailor videographers film scenes that clearly show filthy decks, cabins, galleys, and heads…..I won't identify YT channel names here but sometimes I find myself yelling at my computer screen, "Please clean that filthy boat before you hit the record button!" Changing the subject…..It seems you frequently singlehand. While it would be nice to have a companion on board, I bet you, like me, enjoy the peace and quite of being alone. Since my wife is handicapped and unable to even board my boat, I frequently sail singlehanded, which has inspired me to appreaciate being alone. Years ago I was lucky enough to have two sailing friends, who, like me, sailed singlehanded. We were a team, each sailing his own boat either on afternoon or on ten day or longer trips. Unfortunately, both have passed away, leaving a void. It goes without sailing I miss them so much.
