No matter how disgusting the meal looks I love the ‘DELICIOUS’ comment from Luke once consumed. Always puts a smile on my face. On another note I have a Neptune but never considered the grease I would worry about sand sticking to it.

What both of you have achieved (2 lads from Whales)is second to none. Not many people have ever or will ever do this amazing journey. You’re sailing skills are outstanding and just to let you both know , I am in awe of you’re perseverance and ability

Lads, red your laundry and lack of pegs, if you run a thin line over your handrail and wind it on, you can trap your washing between the rain and the line Hope this helps

Feed rope thru your undies and T-shirts and tie this to the lifelines instead of using pegs. Works almost as well.

Good to meet you guys briefly in Marsden Cover the other day, hope the battery upgrade works well. I am with you, Adam, I cannot stand slapping halyards and any other repetitive noise. One on my boat was actually a ball bearing in a cupboard going tick-tock tick-tock as the boat rocked. And I had Minerva Reef to myself in August on my way from Fiji to Tonga, but it was new moon and the swell coming over the reef was too much, it was cold and raining, plus my outboard would not start, so getting up on the reef was impossible, sadly. Anyway, I got my transmission out and it is being repaired, will be back in April from kitesurfing in Cape Town to head north again. Enjoy NZ!
