All these giant boats are nice…but impractical. You can go with your c42 almost anywhere. They cant. You have to go from bog port to big port. Cant single hand either..
A tip for the sail.. always tie a large sail tie around the furled sail and sheets which are wrapped. Will save your sail and take a.minute to do. When we leave the boat, overnight or if on shore we always do this. Saves us many times. That mega dock in charleston seems like a big pain. Im surprised.many people dont use the marinas on east side of town. Fair winds.

I'm interested in purchasing a Catalina 42 or 380. Maybe a 36 MkII or 400. Soon. They seem sturdier than the other mass production boats. I'm stowing my bike below deck though.
