Are you going with Bermudan rig? Paul Gartside drew it with a gaff rig which wouldn’t have a back stay??

I concur regarding the filleting process. Assuming you will have much more to do – if you use a piping bag method to apply the epoxy, it goes in place many times faster and you can quickly get the hang of putting kust the right amount – it goes down more like caulk from a caulking gun. Next, get some of the closed cell foam insulation for water pipes – this makes the perfect filleting tool because you can squeeze it to adjust the radius and it pulls a nice smooth fillet. I've run hundreds of meters of fillets this way and there's very little clean up and is very fast.

You build a fantastic boat in an incredibly exciting, imaginative and rich environment with dogs, chickens, other boat projects, trucks, sofas, wood storage, collected in a large shed. Maybe cold and windy sometimes but a wonderful place for boat builders I think. I also think the place is stimulating for many others to stay and be creative in. It is very fun to follow you on video.

My grandfather was a shipwright in the northeast USA from the late 1800's through the early 1960's. I know he would have loved watching your build. I remember him saying, always embrace new techniques and methods, without them we would have no progress at all. All the best….tm
