Good grief. I've been following you guys for five years! But then I've had my boat for 2 1/2 years. Doesn't time fly. I'd forgotten how many times Rob had injured himself. Especially with those lures. Your "Geoff Mackley" moments on the volcano on Tanna must have been an amazing experience.

Hi Rachel, Rob and boys (young men) Would love to know your opinions. We follow you and admire your chosen lifestyle. We have purchased our sailing boat (mono 40foot) we are setting up our lives to sail full time. 1. We set up some sort of passive income - Sold our properties so we could buy two cheaper rental houses in Regional Qld (debt free) 2. We are Marina live a-boards, sailing on weekends when we can, selling everything in storage and just saving our hearts out. our biggest hurdle is our 12 year old who just finished first year of high school. She doesn’t want to leave. She isn’t in school for academics, struggles in that arena but socially it’s her lifeline. She is our youngest child but is like an only child as she was my menopause baby who came when her next closest sibling was 14 years old. So her siblings (3) are all adults and long left home. We want to go next year. I work online, so can work anywhere. I want her doing homeschooling but with a focus on maturity rather than grades. My other children showed me that traditional education isn’t always the way. They all left In year 10 and all found wonderful careers. So our dilemma is - do we go and ignore her request to stay till she’s 18 battening down the hatches and deal with the possible fallout, if it comes? or do we stay till she is 16 - 18 years old being close to our 60's? We are 12 months out from being ready ourselves. Half of our trusted family and friends say stay and let her be a normal kid, the other half say go and don’t look back we aren’t getting younger, we are in our mid fifties !!!! HELP
