Did you keep in radio contact with the other yachts you left the Minerva reef with for weather info, check on their progress, etc whilst you were at sea ?

Yet another excellent video showing what it is like on these passages on a small boat. And I envy you your visit to Minerva Reef. I was there in August on my way from Fiji to Tonga. Nobody else there as most stop on passage to and from NZ in the spring and autumn. It was really cold and annoyingly I could not get my outboard to run, so could not even explore the place. I had a much better time at Beveridge Reef between French Polynesia and Niue. Agreed on beating upwind, it sucks, I had seven days of it in my 14-day passage from Fiji to NZ. Take care of the boat and the boat will take care of you, too true. Oh, and loved the poem.
