  1. Hey Alex, nice job on the new trailer. One thing though on the support for the outriggers i noticed that you double nutted them. Just like on a propeller shaft the thinner nut should be on the inside to tighten down on the bolt or shaft, but the thicker nut should be your locking nut on the outside as it has more threads for locking force against the inner nut. Keep up the good work!!!

  2. Goodness, was I the only person watching this and grasping the chair with white knuckles whilst holding his breath ? Alex you are a clever young man however your safety planning is a little bit worrisome lol

  3. Alex, Alex Alex! You are a man of many talents! Is there anything that you can’t do, another impressive episode. You made me nervous to say the least. The bloody trailer looks like it would move the queen Mary. Have the Happiest of Christmas with the family. Rob

  4. the age old question, is it stupid if it works??
    YES 🤣
    yes it s. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But you pulled it off and still have a boat and all your fingers.
    Interesting video 2x👍

  5. Looks good Alex. I prefer the trailer being as long as it is out the back, it protects the vulnerable rudder when towing and its all galvanised. If you cut it shorter you would create a break in it causing a vulnerability for corrosion.

Even though your cradles are great and will support the hull good, the boat will have to be floated on and off, the beauty of the rollers the trailer had is that the would push off easily.
My 22ft powerboat it moves with one hand, even sat out the water. I can launch it without getting the wheel bearings wet, which is handy…

  6. Nice one Alex another great vlog, love your calmness although I suspect in real time there was a fair bit bit of industrial language and bum clinching going on lol 😮

  7. Looks good to me. Good job all round especially tough doing it alone.
When i lifted my Hawk (650 kg) for antifoul the support frame ended up leaning with the boat on it as i pulled the trailer away lol.
Maybe round off the corners on the side support frames. It will hurt less if you walk into one.

  8. Nothing sketchy there that I saw 😉 well done lad. You've got the job done with what you had to hand and with that attitude, you'll go far. Just a word of advice from an old man, I wouldn't consider a career in occupational health and safety if I was you, it'd drive you nuts.
