G'day from Australia.
Over hear we use both travel lifts and trailers.
I think its allso were the marinas are located. If the marina is on reclamed land then the shoeline would be higer and thats when travel lifts come in on the other hand if the lay of the marina is natral, and the tideal height is low than the lift trailers are used. having worked on an slipway it was explaned to me.

The bottom job looks amazing!
Before haul out, we close the raw water through-hull. When you splash, remember to open the through-hull before starting the engine. Tip: hang your start key on the valve and you'll remember to open the through hull.

Changing your impeller had to be done anyway but it will not stop your drip… When water drips from behind the water pump, it means the shaft is scored (worn down). You can fix this with a new water pump rebuild kit and get some emmery sanding paper to smooth out the the scored grooves on the water pump shaft.
