If you want a 28 footer get a Grinde dubbelender with a Yanmar. It will take you around the world in a build quality that is on the level off Halberg Rassy it’s a very good sailer, fast for its size and can really take some beating and you have tons of space with a beam off 3,2 meter. Sleeping up to 6-7. To women are actually on a singlehanded round the world trip.
Oh I forgot that you actually have more than 6 feet headroom in the
cabin. The design is still 50 years after it was designed modern looking and got the danish design medal 1977 for an extraordinary design. Go and check it out. Greetings from Copenhagen

I have a Catalina 25 up here in Washington state. Its perfect for the Puget Sound. Good for solo sailing. Spent over a year renovating it. I dont live on it but sleep on it quite often. I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs and fit in the V-berth quite comfortably. Love your videos Lady K!!!

I would pick a Tartan 34c. But I am biased cause I own one already. LOL! Just got done doing the re-core work and lines back to cockpit and 100 other things. Can't wait to hit water in May!

Here in Brazil, for many years I sailed a 1974 Ranger 29 designed by Gary Mull, made in California.
Strong, ralatively fast and low cost.
After renewing she completely, I was really happy.

Out of Germany, a Dehler 29, she is very roomy, has all the cruising amenities, is fast, especially once winds exceed 7-8 knots.
I have added a code zero on a bow sprit & furler, tiller lock or an autohelm, what an awesome boat to solo sail.
Dehler 29 was first made in 1998 and is still in production today.

I get my sailing fix with a trailer sailer and that’s all I really want but daydreaming about a bigger boat I always thought of a Catalina 30 but after looking at a number of them I started shifting to the Catalina 28 for a number of reasons. Engine placement and access on the 28 seems far superior and the interior layout just seems to flow better, but I must admit I haven’t spent the night on either. Cheers and good luck.
