We have used Fendertex fenders for about eight years, and they are excellent. Extremely light, immensely strong, and in storage they take up very little space. In use they are easily ballasted, so that they don't blow around in windy conditions, with about a litre of water (for the smaller fenders). Fendertex fenders are designed and manufactured in France by the company "Safe Boat Equipment", headquartered in Aire-sur-la-Lys (Pas-de-Calais). In 2019 PYI was made the exclusive distributor in North America and an agreement was signed for PYI to develop manufacturing of Fendertex in North America.

Incidentally, the excellent hose clips that you discuss were originally designed and manufactured by JCS Hi-Torque Limited, in Sudbury, Suffolk. We have done the same as you with our last two boats – replace all of the cheaper "perforated" hose clips with JCS clips. The JCS clips not only are much more durable, they also are easier to use and provide a more-even grip.
