How about a stern ancor ?
Mercant ships had in old days that...
Im an engine guy but id thin 30 min adjusting position is all right.
I also have an idea about a small ancor with 5m chain and shacle in the main one..this in bad season weather :)

We use Navionics to also monitor our movement around the spot we drop anchor. Just start a route and you'll be able to check the movement and also measure swing room. We let navionics run so we check it time to time. It doesn't have an alarm but it does a good job with showing the boat's movement around the anchor drop point. Anchor alarms are great too but sometimes they switch themselves off for us anyway.

It takes a while to get into being alone on a boat one starts to invent small tricks to make it easier. In the beginning it can be very anxious though.

Frik, have you thought about using an anchor bouy? Then you could reference the location of your anchor is from the helm. Also, one of the episodes from Zatara were Keith used a remote control for the boat on the bow which would be perfect for lowering and raising an anchor by yourself. See you soon!!!
