I was OOW at Xmas while we were in the drive-in sheds in Devonport. Just 5 of us on a 75m. I bought myself a Scaletrix kit, so Christmas morning was spent sitting in a hot Jacuzzi, drinking champagne and playing Rally cars. I think the Navy guards were a bit jealous of us. An engineer made lunch and we all washed-up together.

If you don't think Zelensky is peeling a few million or a few hudred thousand off the top of all those billons we in the states are giving him, you don't know Ukraine. There is no oversight over there and we do not have an expenditure list of things that they have bought. We gave them money to make their own pension accounts full. I can almost guarantee you that he has taken some money out of that money.

You should do a video about the different stints or contracts on yachts. Like I did stints that were just for a moving period, and another for a summer contract, winter contract, temp crew, etc.

You got secret Santa? For real? I never got that! Lol. I only worked on yachts for 5 years and in that time I worked 3 Christmas Days. On one boat we goat our bonuses for the year which came from the management company and they paid us late. The management company came and paid for us to habe a catered dinner. There was only 6 crew. Another yacht was boss off and the owner arranged for us to get gifts. and we got a wallet if you were a man, and the ladies got a small handbag from the owners company. So they were pretty pricey. Each one had £200 in it. That apparently was also our bonus. Half the crew quit. It was a slap in the face. Another Christmas we were headed to Mexico. We were in the Gulf of Mexico. We had a roast and turkey. Potatoes, corn, rolls and we each could have 2 beers or glasses of wine. We did a secret Santa and then we were informed we would be getting a bonus that the captain already had for us in cash and we got a month's salary and 2 paid days off. I heard horror stories. A girl I was dating worked on a boat over Christmas and the owner was Asian. They didn't celebrate Christmas and when the owner found out that the crew was going to set up a party, he went ballistic. Threatened to fire everyone. Didn't give a bonus either until the 30th. But apparently he pitched a fit for over an hour and said no decorations coukd be set up on his boat and if he saw one single Christmas thing, he would fire the nearest crewmember. But then another boat I knew a girl who said the owner got to bring their families on board for a couple days. But that was a crew of 4.

Podcast im looking forwards to this which like your other channels will be of your usual high standard of factual reports tours of yachts and ports and yacht shows. So looking forwards to this. Alot of other reporters mainly just look at the actual yachts thats great. But with you we get background of whats going on. Like the Ukraine president story.
So i enjoyed this podcast thanks.
