Shark bite connectors will only last as long as the neoprene o-ring. They also can become dislodged if significant side pressure occurs. For lasting connections with PEX, use compression fittings (either brass or stainless). Those fittings will outlast the tubing while your Shark bites will last the o-ring life (and then an entire plumbing retrofit).

As a tip to you, do not put teflon tape on the threads that you are going to thread the 1/2 inch fitting from the breaded line from the faucet because there is a rubber o ring that seals the water not the threads, by putting teflon, tape on threads, it fills the threads and it makes it harder for the fitting to tighten up against the o' ring.
