  1. Don't rent out the boat – people will just rent it and break it. All of your hard work will go down the tubes for a couple bucks in your pocket, which will quickly disappear.

  2. Keep the boat unless you never plan to sail again. all things require time and maintenance, if you can find a way to find pleasure in the work (a Job well done) then it becomes less of a chore and more a labor of love. If you don't have a boat, should you change the name of the channel?!?!?!?

  3. I have been watching you for years. This is only a decision you can make. We are snowbirds. We have a farm also. I am smart enough to not have animals anymore. Travel and ownership of animals doesn’t work!
In most cases like yours animals cost you money and time. Your place is not large enough to make money with most animals. So you have to realize they are a hobby. You know nothing about gardening. That is also a hobby. You can buy products for less than you will spend not counting the work involved so just admit to yourself that it is also a hobby! Now I built our home on the property with a cost plus agreement with the builder. In other words I could do what I wanted and he would do what was needed like getting permits, inspections and materials for a fee. Trust me you don’t want to be in charge of permits and inspections. They know each other and don’t like people like you getting involved and it is much less expensive having a knowledgeable builder handling this part. I have just laughed at your lack of experience and intelligence with animals and gardening. Kindly, you have no idea what you are doing but you are learning and that is fine.
You have to make your own decisions. You can do both but you have to understand the pros and cons of each project. Bad decisions are costly, take my word on that point. Make final business decisions not emotional ones or you will find yourself in financial difficulties!!!

  4. @Okie_Finman has a good point about saving it for while. And IF you wind up selling it you should definitely include the price of your labor. This way you can save the money and maybe buy another one. It’s like getting the garden started while you build the wall. With More seeds! Good luck. 🍀

  5. Since this channel is called Sailing good bad and ugly the answer is in the pudding: Stay on the boat and make content on the water…

  6. I have to admit that I was a weekly viewer for all of your sailing adventures, when you guys did the boat overhaul work I was so excited to see where you might end up next. But when you decided to become land lubbers it really took the magic of this channel out of it for me. I was convinced that you both would get many years more of enjoyment from the boat after all of that hard work. In the end though we all love you both and want you to go after whatever it is that makes you happy. I'm still scratching my head though, why do the work to just leave the boat to float & rot?

  7. I haven’t watched your videos since you left the boat. I hope you’re enjoying your new life. But I live on land and have to live vicariously through people doing the things I want to do. So cheers and thanks for letting me do that through you for a long time.

  8. Your channel is growing because of sailing! think twice about dropping the sailing!I watched a few videos of the build of your homestead, but eventually stopped watching, so consider all the different options to make $$$$. Wish you all the best in whatever choice you make!

  9. For what it's worth, my vote is. Keep the boat, find a way to have someone Take Care of it and give You some Money. I do miss the bikini.

  10. Wow, I’ve been following you guys since day one. It makes me so happy to see good people who work hard have their dreams. Come true enjoy your life the boat will take care of itself.
