That was a great story, well-told in the medium of film.
…I’m sure that this basic scenario has played-out countless times over the centuries, with cataclysmic and tragic results; I love the wisdom, love and final-resolution of this version!

Pagnol's original is somewhat dull, but this adaptation is charming! Love the pairing up of Frank Morgan & Wallace Beery!
