Have you looked at possible auto pilot drives and or windvane systems as they would impact your coaming design possibly. My old Tartan 34 classic has similar lines for the coaming at the foreword section of the cockpit but I would like the way you do the aft end. Also I would make scuppers at the aft end of the coaming to allow spray water to drain out quickly. Cheers, Richard

Nicely done revisions of the cockpit! And I hope that Maya is on her way to rebuilding her chops with bow and finger technique. After extended breaks from my instruments, the rebuilding process is a weird mix of relief, self-recrimination, and unrealistic expectations. But perhaps she has better character and personal balance than I do. 🙂 Bon Chance.

Great work guys, a pleasure so see the progress & fun in it all. Question though: I have to wonder if water is not going to stand still on the side-deck between curved combing and bulwark. Will you add an extra scupper there? Very curious abouth that. Keep up the good work & spirits 😉

I'm afraid I don't like the end results of moving the coaming. From what you did, you made the issue of water in the cockpit WORSE by not allowing for easy water flow out away from the cockpit. Instead you made a trough between the coaming and rail to keep water sloshing INSIDE the cockpit. Should have listened to Maya!!
