Keep your head up and push on, it does get better. That area sucks to breakdown in. We are south of you in marathon key. I am trying to get my boat ready for extended cruising. I've been fighting a similar battle. I have 3 major projects to get done, before I can leave. Start making headway on my projects and something else breaks. It's frustrating, but I look at it this way, my systems should be good to go cruising by the time I get my three upgrades done. Right now I am installing a watermaker, next is solar pannels, and then finally a new autopilot. In between I have changed two builge pumps, a silinoid for my main electric toilet, two sea strainer, two engine room blowers, the water heater,, the main cabin air conditioner, and much more. It has been a process, but again everything should be good soon. I've already changed out my whole navigation system, battery bank, new diesel generator, davits, new tender and outboard etc. Keep pushing faward and we shall see you out there.

You probably already know this. When you take apart an engine, take photos at beginning and every major step. Mark things (forward/starboard or method you understand), make sure valves go back into same holes, with same springs, same thing with injectors. Note/photo how the gaskets go before removing. These types of things help you put engine back together successfully. Not sure what type of inverter/charger you have, but precharge the inverter's capacitors from bat pos to inverter bat pos input, using a cheap 12v/10 ohm resistor to slowly charge caps, then quickly make the permanent pos cable connection and avoid the spark.
I'm sure you have heard about regular engine alternators overheating when charging LiFePo4 bats since the bats can draw very high charging currents. you can mitigate by running engine at like 1800 rpm when charging the bat, this speed blows more air over alternator from the fan blades on the alternator, keeping it cooler. Also LA bat and Lifepo4 bats in parallel when engine charging will work, as the LA provides resistance to alternator putting out too much and overheating. All this may not affect you, if you have remote alternator regulation.

And the flaming dumpster continues to roll. From a content perspective, it's awesome. From a safety and seaworthiness perspective I remain flabbergasted. Are you aware of the expression "nothing works on this boat but the captain?" It's a bit deceiving because when the captain actually works and undertakes required maintenance then everything else usually works as well. Please go to work and sort it out. I'm definitely not a cheerleader but I am rooting for you. Of course, if you do fix everything, then your videos are probably going to be boring!!!
