Bear getting that Pigeon made me laugh.
My son when he was Bears age use to bring home birds all the time.
He could catch them with his hands and for some odd reason they didn't fly away.

I am on Vancouver Island Canada and on January 17th 2024 an arctic front cam in and dumped about 6 inches of snow. The week before that we had -9 and with the wind chill -15. Right now we are getting a lot of rain and +8 degrees with lows about 4 at night. I myself do not mind warm weather but not so hot as to burn me. A bit of trivia about turtles. They can breathe out of their butts. If you do not believe me look it up.

TBH I would have turned and gone home rather than join that queue. Didn't notice the Acropolis- just the invading hordes blocking out the views. As you mentioned out of season would be more tolerable.
