Why would anyone spend 6 or $800,000 on a floating living room with oversized, upholstered couches on the fantail when you can buy a beautiful,seaworthy, ocean-crossing, albeit slightly used, but well maintained Hinckley 48 yawl for a fraction of that price? A real yacht with better sailing qualities, far, far prettier and she’ll get you through the worst of any weather.

Absolute garbage boat. Don’t wear a sweater on board. If you snag a thread you’ll pull the veneer off an entire bulkhead.

Great sailboat for Mediterranean cruising (perhaps that explains the small fuel capacity). But at that size and price range, I have only one word (and one number): Allures 51.9.

There is a lot to like with this Jeanneau.
Boy I had to go to Jeanneau' s web site to double check the fuel tankage…. only 61 gallons? Coastal boat at best.
