I never would have thought of hand planing a scarf joint into that bulkhead … I think that i would have went with a lap joint near the center of the bulkhead as you had the companionway passing through to clamp the entire length of the joint (I don't have your patience!!) Great job on it though!! Wow … those were some serious swells the day that you went out sailing!!! That boat in the distance disappeared … before you know it you will be out there with your own boat!!! Keep up the great work!!!
