I would try to post cure that JB weld before you put it in service. Basically, if you are going to use epoxy at a high service temperature, you should heat it up slightly higher than the service temperature without any load on it for, say, two hours.

Those mahi-mahi are real escape artists. They have a way of flinging themselves off of the gaff, too, if you gaff them. Good move to get it in the cockpit pronto.

There's something wrong with all boats. Even when you pay a couple million dollars , you guys are doing it the right way
