Regarding stirring:
Be it paint or orange juice – i always store upside down, or at least lying flat (for rectilinear boxes) so that, when I open the tub / carton etc, the denser solids are already at the top, I then stir them down into the liquid and you get a much better / easier mix.

If I can offer one tip, from someone who has been making mistakes for many many more years than the pair of you (quite a lot varnish related!). A good swearing session focussing on expletives that begin with the letter 'b' is very therapeutic. We brits have it down to a fine art, so if you need tips, let me know.

I wish my interior was that good. Awesome work. I was warned about the shiny happening with the satin type finish by the paint shop guy, but I actually really like the Epifanes semi gloss.

Next time you build a shed use a white tarp and you won’t need any lights. You won’t believe how bright it will be.
