  1. China continues espionage with US secrets. I can’t imagine China can be any more acidic to peace in the region. They want war as much as the US war mongers do.

  2. Timestamp 3:29 , when Emma says Pelosi went around China, nope. She did not go around China. China sanctioned her, and her relatives. She went to TW to drum up support for the Chips act. China was threatening action against her, including shooting down her plane.

  3. He has a point with almost all of this stuff… except China will rollover Taiwan. Come on. An island invasion? Against a fortified island with Western allies and equipment? And Taiwan, of every countries? China would get rolled by Vietnam.

And this is assuming everyone of their neighbours doesn't help. Which they fucking will. And China can't take one of its neighbours, let alone all of them. The biggest threat anyone faces from China is the nuclear fallout that will blanket the globe, not from a single chinese gun.

  4. Eeeeh, not considering giving Taiwan aid if China ever directly threatens it is right alongside Ukraine getting none if Russia does. "It could escalate" is not an excuse not to attempt mitigants, because just like the USA HAS escalated with other countries, plenty around the world are, in fact, powerful enough to do so as well. China is certainly one of them.

  5. Gods.. America really is a terrorist nation, huh? It should’ve been obvious, with how it terrorized it’s own people. But honestly, you get focused on your own trauma, and you forget that we are always terrorizing people other places. Now if you want to go to school for cheap in the states, you can join the military and help terrorize other people.. 🤦🏾‍♀️

  6. china hasn't dropped a bomb in decades, while the US has dropped an average of 46 bombs daily for the past two decades. The US is actively engaged in a genocide of Palestinians. The US had killed 1 million civilians alone, in 1 war alone, in one country alone (Iraq). Dropping atomic bombs on civilians. Currently engaged in a 3-or-4 front war. China is going be the world's biggest economy and they will have done it without engaging in the kinds of tactics the west had.

  7. A bit of a nonsense out of the gate. China is not building its nuclear capability “because of increasing US activity in the pacific”. They are building it because Xi expects to take Taiwan in his lifetime and by then China needs a strong nuclear deterrent to keep the US out of it. This is not complicated, nor a value judgement on China’s decision to do so. In the same vein, the US is building capacity in the Pacific to try to discourage China from making moves on Taiwan—and also to show support for Japan and Korea, the latter of which is increasingly turning back towards the US. These are the prevailing geopolitical motivations.

  8. Given the history of the US, and China's interaction with western nations in their nearby waters and nations, China building up arms to defend themselves is very reasonable..

  9. Very cool to just skip over the largest wargames in the world in south korea. Acting like North Korea is some irrational actor after the US committed genocide there is ridiculous.

  10. Taiwan is a Settler Colony. The indigenous population was genocided by the KMT, but was lartely left alone by the Qingt Dynasty and during the ROC period. Not until the US helped the fascist blue shirts take and murder across the island was there much antagonism between Han and the indigenous. I am begging americans to learn just a little history.

  11. Its because Taiwan is a part of China, they "dont see as a province", it was always China with a brief period being captured by the Japanese Empire, and everytime a dumb gringo says China is going to invade Taiwan is the same thing as saying the US is going to invade Texas. Obviously that wouldn't refrain the US from building more military bases surrounding China and Rússia. US is the villain of the world since the end of the XIX century.

  12. Omfg, the "US is provoking China". Such BS. China is an openly fascist government with well-espoused expansionest goals. Every country in the region came to the US.

  13. This episode leaves me less than impressed with the usually good Majority Report. Taiwan is not simply a province of China's. When "China" 1st joined the UN the seat was given to Taiwan and mainland China was seen as a province of the government in Taiwan. Now the sane thing to do would've simply been to recognize there are 2 separate governments from a civil war that never had a decisive end with 1 side surrendering. During all the negotiations about recognizing mainland China that included switching the UN seat to to it the US said it will support peaceful reunification of China. If China invades Taiwan that is not peaceful reunification.

Those weapons would be so Taiwan could defend itself against an invasion from China. Taiwan is not attacking China nor threatening to do so.

Finland and Sweden decided to join NATO because they are geographically near Russia and Russia's current ruler has decided to start waging imperialistic wars. That is not US policy causing threats but Putin's aggression. The professor also failed to mention that Norway has long been a part of NATO and is already in the Arctic. Finland simply has a longer border region with Russia.

The professor also failed to mention that China has been grabbing islands in the South China Sea based on claims the International Tribunals have ruled are not valid and compete with claims of about half a dozen other nations. This is China being aggressive locally-at least the professor acknowledged China was trying to bully other nations.

1 thing I and the professor agree on is that North Korea is ruled by a "dynasty". Whoever thought feudal monarchy would be the form of leadership selection practiced by a supposedly communist state.

  14. I know I’ve said it on a number of occasions, but I will say it again.
“All of the China hawkery is complete and total. BS. The political machine as well as the military industrial complex is just pivoting, because the old war on terror propaganda doesn’t work anymore, and the military industrial complex needs a new rabbit hole to run down.
No one believes that they’re (politicians) actually being genuine.”

  15. Funny to think that a few hundred nuclear munitions is considered not worth worrying about but the US continues to be hypocritical on this issue by expanding it's own stocks.

  16. The term American security is a false one, as America is very safe in their backyard, this is about US-American global dominance.

  17. North Korea is not a serious threat, they saber rattle to keep their enemies at a distance but there's no credible argument they would actually pull through with any attacks unless they were really pushed hard.

  18. As a Japanese, I want to thank Americans for submitting their soldiers' lives to protect Japan especially from China without extra money because Tokyo can assert that Washington D.C. has been using Japanese archipelago as an unsinkable aircraft carrier to protect America from China. But, I must say that America can save tons of money by withdrawing all military bases from Japan, and the money can use for their social infrastructures, education, employment, welfare, and even genuine NHS establishment. It depends on if Americans can support Japan to become independent militarily from America and to posses nuclear weapons single-handed.

  19. More TMR tankie garbage. Yeah yeah yeah we get it, the guest and Emma are just gonna uncritically blame the US for everything and give great powers like China and Russia a free pass to be imperialist. Emma is a fundamentally unserious person.
