(In my Dad’s Rover 2000 with him in the passenger seat) I got to 70 mph as the runway was so long. Manor Lane was the original main road before Bridlington Bay road was built. We used to holiday at Wilsthorpe in the flats on the cliff top which were originally built for the RAF. Great story about Sgt. Smith, what an epic survival! Thanks.
