You should try backing up next time, so your truck become a "frontwheel drive" vehicle pull alot better than pushing, and your controll is better, just a thought

So cool you gyus muster through..I was thinking if you make a nr of deep 4 inch slits perpendicular to the road and poor concrete in with rebar along the road you can create a way to fic the gravel and prepare for later concrete pavement. Also/or a deep 4 inch concrete ledge along the sides so you never slide of the ridge. A lot of work so maybe ramming in short bamboo to block the car also works..
