Yeah, the Tasman can be a bit of a arse clencher, and Cook Strait tends to think the Tasman is a complete pussy.

Cant fault the effort you put into making this video, you had a bit of everything really, dead calm and rolling like a b****. Guessing you have a horizon levelling camera, really shows the experience of rolling around. There arent many people can say they have been into port taranaki. I think most people give it a miss, maybe for the reasons you mention. Well done.

Just grab a mooring. Not safe to anchor among moorings as cannot put out good length of rode. If owner comes just move to another. Local regional council will have web site showing block weight, last service and swing info.

Damn ! That is the worst I have ever seen you heel over. It Looked like a battle & you showed some serious sailing there ! It was tense on this side of the screen an you Must have been Exhausted !! Tritea is SUCH a Good Sailboat & you, a great Sailor !!!

I would like to see a video on how you solo ancher and catch a mooring ball . I think that would be interesting. Especially for us soon to be solo sailors..
