If you stow the main halyard in a nice circle it will always have twists in it. Holding it and making loops in your hand the line will hang in circle eights which eliminates the kinks. So I’ve been told and it seems to be true in practice. Cheers

The O'Kelly's just did a great video on moving to a performance cat and I wonder if some of the issues you've had reflect their comments. One issue for the viewers its a bit difficult to judge if all the challenges came in a week or reflect months of them. Glad its now settling down and you can enjoy the sailing element.

Hi Guys, I noticed you had the mainsheet tight when raising the mainsail, this makes it more tricky to hold it into the wind and not catch the lazy jacks on the battens. On my 1160 I loosen the mainsheet so the boom swings with the wind so it's easier to raise.

Why not use your autopilot and wind sensor when raising the main? The autopilot can hold your heading relative to the wind. And it does it better than we can. Worked a charm on our last charter cat.
