On MSC, I would like to know if they nickle and dime you once onboard. I heard they charge extra for lunch i.e. soft serve ice cream. Also would like to know on the unlimited wifi package charge if its even worth it. Bon Voyage!

The only bad thing I’ve heard about MSC is that they announce everything in 6 or 7 different languages, which means the loud speaker is always booming away. I’d like to hear your take on that and how annoying intimidate doesn’t bother you? Thanks for your videos! Very helpful.

Looking forward to your review of MSC. We are sailing with them also for the first time on a Nth Europe cruise. I'm a bit nervuos due to some of the negative reviews. Very much interestedto hear about the food.

Hi Ilana. I just love your kitchen, so beautiful and thanks for sharing it. We have been cruising on MSC Sinfonia in 2017 and was stunning. Their food is awesome and attention to detail is amazing. We are going in September on MSC Preziosa which is apparentley also amazing, but from Hamburg. I read that the reason for their amazing food is because of the high skilled shefs, not saying other shefs from other cruise liners are not, which makes sense why their food are absolutley devine, the soft serve apparentley as well. You are just going to enjoy your MSC cruise.

I’d love to know how MSC stacks up compared to Carnival. We have a medium sized group of adult family that travel together, ranging in age from 20 to 72 and some in between. Carnival ticks the budget boxes, but it’s been getting rowdy lately, so I’ve been considering a switch. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Great choice of cruise line. We just got back from our MSC World Europa 2-3 months ago and we love that ship. The services are great and so is the food. Other than Royal Caribbean and princess, MSC would be our next choice. We will pick MSC over carnival and especially NCL. We never like NCL and will never cruise with them.

One thing about the specialty dining package is that you choose from a limited included menu but the restaurants have an extensive a la carte menu, which offers a lot more – the family next to me in the steakhouse ordered and shared a GIANT tomahawk chop that looked fab. When I go back I will skip the package and go a la carte. I had a long talk with a specialty dining manager who went into a lot of detail on MSCs investment in those venues. Big casino too. Entertainment was fun but it’s not Royal or Celebrity IMO. Ok I will stop now lol 🙂

Just took Seascape on that exact itinerary last month (in the YC). I liked it way more than expected. Pizza IS very good although I think Virgin edges them out. Service was great, ship was gorgeous, cabins were really nice – I saw a balcony cabin along the way. My main issue was the included food (buffet and even the YC reataurant) wasn’t not as good as many other lines. But the speciality dining was REALLy good. Sushi bar is super fun and is extra and not included in the specialty dining package but is fantastic. Steakhouse was great and my steak was perfectly cooked. The gelato/chocolate/coffee place Venchi is fantastic and costs extra. But other than the pizza and hamburgers and similar, the buffets weren’t that good. Ocean Cay was great – although I was in the YC area and it was quite windy that day. Service really was over the top. So I think you’ll like it. My favorite part of San Juan is the walking around to the forts etc and the downtown is really nice. Have a great cruise! Can’t wait for your impressions!
