When I was in my 30's, I hired a broker, studied for 3 months on the purchase process and the best companies based on materials / resale exit. I learned so much – and this is NOTHING you want to do alone. Its a complex process – your values are critical based on the type of crew and captian you want to be with/around –

The yearly cost of owning a yacht is around 10% of the purchase price. That includes crew and everything else. So, if you buy one for $10 million, your yearly running costs are around $1 million/year…..
