Built a double Hobie 16 once.Extended the beams to 16’ wide,two complete rigs,mains and jibs.First test sail about 12 knots of wind,going like a dream upwind,leeward hull started going down and SNAP,forward section of hull broke off in front of front pylon cost us a bit more than $150 ,I can tell you .
