Breakers charged like buffalo then swept past rolling on the milky ways band played me a show took a bow and waved so long to the morning sun!

  • @fredread9216

Nice passage. Thanks for welcome to the cruising life Rhonda. The more you do. The easier and better it becomes. All about familiarity.

  • @onthemoney7237

Great docking and she couldn’t even see over the wind dodger even with a dress on perfect 👍🇺🇸

  • @bevanhill5648

Hi James and Rhonda just wondering if you have thought of purchasing head sets to make it easier to communicate to one another while carrying out decking and anchoring proceedors

  • @3.dogsqueensland

Wow,well done Rhonda!!!! That was an awesome docking girl!! It looked like it was hard to see over the cabin there, but you nailed it.

  • @julianbatcheler9970

Parts of Australia seem to suffer the same issue as the UK… that weather changes so fast and is so unpredictable the forecasts are never that accurate.

I am always amazed when I am in the States how spot on the forecasts are.

Here it’s a joke… I will be raining while the forecast is still saying fine and sunny all day.

  • @justindb83

That view of the Gold Coast city scape with the sun going down was awesome. Reminds me of you sailing into Sydney in the dark! Those are the views we remember forever as travellers. Also glad to see you guys free from the tractor beam of the lake!

  • @BuildingSYMistress

    Great episode J&Rh!
James, you definitely impart confidence as a very capable and safe captain!
Rhonda – congratulations on your first marina berth docking, they are NOT an easy thing to pull off, ESPECIALLY done the first time without a single re-approach! 👌

  • @jaysummers9396

Hahaha it's crazy that Rhonda was doing a wordsearch, they were my entertainment as a kid in 70s 😊..

  • @peterware5173

Thanks guys dig the vids always looking at a Westfall 32 in a few months.

  • @woodywalker8016

The light house is at Seal Rock, great little village.

  • @kenegan7649

We've had a bad year on the east coast James.. this week I have a window of 4 days fine weather with favourable winds..I'm in Tuncurry..Forster.. tomorrow crowdy head..my favourite little harbour

  • @Reece-wv5tx

Should have reversed in , well done Rhonda great to see you had a good Kiwi attitude on the berthing .

  • @danielhicks7141

Well done on the docking Rhonda. I've always found it really useful to work out where the pivot point of the boat is, when maneuvering under power. If you've got that in the back of your mind, it's always easier. Keep up the good work, you’ve made a great start, with practice you might get better than James.

  • @adventureeveryday1106

Hey James, I've sailed all of.this and am I'm in donesia at the moment, I found predict wind unreliable the further out you go , especially from thursday island to Darwin onto indo, if you need any I nfo f4omdarwin let me k ow

  • @sailingseriously2035

You made nervous watching you come along side Rhonda….You nailed it though. 👍🏻👍🏻

  • @Adam-yp1cc

Whatching this couple on there journey ,it’s an amazing story of tenacity , agility & the ability to work together,, love it 🫶🏻

  • @coreybeaty8528

Curious to why you’re still sailing like you’re single-handed. Why no watch rotation on night shift?

  • @73kalakpete

Been following you for a while, think you are cool and admire your stamina. Keep pushing 🙂

  • @fgb3126

I'm with Rhonda. The unknown is just flat scary on whatever level. Plenty of honesty with both of you. No false bravado or joy. I appreciate your production value by showing us a map of your route. I can and have done that on my own with Google and the place names you give, but just having the map here is very helpful!

  • @greencoastdesigns9492

Docking is more stressful than sailing, Should you race the diesel in idle after low rpm loads to clear un burnt carbon off the valve seats before shutting it down ? Not sure but heard that is good ?? Fantastic sailing Thank you for all your work in sharing.

  • @koa818

    Have a🫶 Beautiful day🫶🇮🇪👍

  • @svthorasailing4868

I’ve found midships on the companionway floor is the best spot to bunk underway, safe sailing.

  • @kitehardinoz

Such a pity you don’t have more time to see more of Australia in the better seasons, although the weather should improve for you once you get up around Townsville. It’s a bloody big country and I’m glad you guys are enjoying our lil corner of the globe. 😊

  • @01dumbfrog

I always enjoyed putting a combination pad lock in the hoops of my roommates plug holes in his ears while asleep…. Great Fun…

  • @01dumbfrog

He asked how to get the lock off and I hand him a angle grinder…

  • @amyjayadventures

Great job with the docking Rhonda and appreciated watching the patient guidance from James. Rhonda – I also appreciate your honesty about feeling anxious when something new is happening or the sea state is big or facing big winds. I definitely go through that myself.

  • @judithnicholais1492

Very well done Rhonda. With thousands watching no less. 🙂 Joking. You did so great. (I had to work a clutch & standard shift in a car once to get someone to a hospital but had no idea how. It was not pretty). You and James work nicely together. Teamwork is everything.

  • @Ian-dl2rf

James you remind me of a skipper in the re-runs of the deadliest catch..forgot his name..

  • @petreamccarthy8635

Welcome to typical Australian east coast conditions, and forecasts
