About the bayesian 183 that sank and killed 2 people. Do I have any chances of making it on a cape dory 28 in those kind of storms or if I find myself into one it's just over for me?

People who park themselves right next to the Shoreline in a massive Storm or even a minor one are simply not that bright and now apparently are deceased as well. This is what happens when all the money be spent on the Boat and NOT the Harbor/parking space. The only safe space from a Gale or Squall is ON LAND unless your vessel of choice be a nuclear powered Aircraft Carrier I imagine...or Submarine actually. This storm(s) in Europe remain the ULTIMATE shout out to why the Gulf of Sidra needs where be modern Mediterranean indeed Global Yachting needs to be as the sheer number of vessels now plus sheer size makes for very few places for such material to safely "stay" (be stayed/lay at anchored/Moor'ed etc) this being the only major massive potential anchorage I can think of in the Mediterranean Sea anyways. Plus clean sheet as well doesn't get any better. The only comparable one I can think of which of course isn't in the Caribbean is Haiti and isn't this way for security reasons of course as with Gulf of Sidra but also as well not clean sheet there. I think all of this is why the Country of Panama continues to boom. Anchorages along the North America Eastern Seaboard basically are infinite but the safest are in the Chesapeake Bay up in the direction of Baltimore. West Coast North America is basically infinite where available as well all the way into Canada absolutely. Plus all of the fuel infrastructure is there now/true for both. Problem with North America West Coast pretty much the middle of nowhere as far as Boating goes. Everything is basically a thousand miles away there. A sailing Yacht of this type would have fit in well there actually as you really need to get on to get anywhere out there #shipping_news

An alternative to the Bahamas and east coast… I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Great loop. Yeah, it's mostly power boats… But about 8% of great loopers are sailboats.
