This unrepentant attitude doomed her to serve time instead of what usually would have been punished by a stiff fine.
I hope this rich very rich young pilot serves time as well as financial restitution to the victims family

In the End they have to go to the jail. If you drive drunked a car you be able to kill people on the street.. but with a boat that size.. can be a disaster like this..

Strangely, they quickly cleaned the yacht before the police arrived, which the police are also looking into. The tender of this yacht was spotted racing around the day before and struck a small boat as well, which had two 15 year-olds on board. The witness of this event then drove to the La Luna yacht to confront the skipper. According to the witness, the man appeared visibly drunk. Other boat captains told the police that the luxury yacht La Luna, sailing under the German flag, had been noticed several times in the days before the accident for being inconsiderate towards other boats, for driving at excessive speed and for dangerous maneuvers off the coast.
