T.he first time I was in Puerto Vallarta it was just a small village. The Malecon where it started was a sunken street where tourists had to jump down to walk across the street. Later, it was raised up to it's current configuration. I remember tourist often twised their ankels and it would ruin much of their vacation given the jump down and the cobble stone streets. It's amazing that today there's over 300,000 people in the city!!
