As a sailor, I know the Rustler name well. Indeed, I had my boat berthed near HRH when she had her Rustler in the xxxxxxx marina up here in the north. I could not afford a Rustler sailing yacht then, and I could not afford this one either. It is a small world, I knew the designer Tony Castro when he was a student in Glasgow way back when. I wish Rustler well and hope to see a sea trial.

Reminds me of a Vicem or Grand Banks in some ways. Of course I just watched a video on the Galeon 440 Fly and then I look at other boats in that size range and I say to them, 'Try harder!'. You have Sargo, Marex, Beneteau and Nordstar and I think they have more of an appeal for me. I mean, the Absolute Navetta Pathfinder 64 would be my ideal, but not very realistic. Then I think about this hurricane I just went through and think, 'If I had a boat, I could have packed up all my stuff and my kids and dog, headed north and then I woukd have power, good cell coverage, hot shower, food, clean cool wager to drink. Right now, I have none of those things.

Thank you for visiting us and this quick tour of our new R41 Motor Yacht.

As you mentioned, this was hull #1, and she has now returned to our yard for more work to be completed before she'll be available for sea trails, her official launch and, of course, handed over to her delighted owner. Hopefully, when you visit, you'll see hull #2, which is currently in production – she has an oak interior that gives a different feel to the walnut on this boat.

Every yacht we build is built by hand to an owner's spec (choice of equipment, manufacturers, engine choice — including outboards for the US market), therefore, we can tailor each boat to its owner's wishes. So, if an owner wants a different helm configuration (layout/seating, foot rests etc), teak deck, different seating arrangement, more galley storage, wider berths, etc., if the hull allows, we'll do all that is possible to give owners what they want, equipped how they choose.

Thats a smart boat. Traditional in style and finish which will I imagine appeal to a lot of people who like their boats a little less uber modern and fashion house finished. And the price is very good given its a high quality and probably a relatively small production run.
