Just heard day hopping on the East of Scotland. I’m a bit lost on the when you’re doing this but the conditions on the East can be bad. Great content and I’m sure you know about weather etc!

As you came up the sound of Kerrera you were sailing over the track of the famous TAT1 cable that came from the USA to the UK. On the mainland side shore is the cable landing station near Oban.
I didn’t realise until recently that a further cable then tracked off up north and on to Moscow. It carried the hot line from the White House to the Kremlin that was initiated after the Cuban Missile Crisis. Hope you enjoyed your well earned pint. Go well!
